Merry Christmas from the LDCSB!

“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

The Christmas season is a special time for everyone in the London District Catholic School Board. During this Advent Season, our students and staff have been enthusiastically preparing for the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

As we all journey together this busy Christmas season, please take some time to pause, reflect and pray about the wonderful gifts of faith, hope and love that Jesus bestowed upon the world so many years ago in the small town of Bethlehem. It is an opportunity to remember to keep Christ close to us, for He is our strength throughout our entire lives.

It is also important to keep in mind that Christmas can be a difficult time of year for some. Try to reach out to those who may be struggling, have moved to your neighborhood from another city or country, or who have recently lost a loved one. Lending a helping hand or being a supportive friend or neighbor are just a couple of examples of acts of kindness that could be tremendously meaningful.

We have seen or heard of so many examples of our schools reaching out to help support the most vulnerable in our communities through food drives, toys drives, clothing collections and other outreach activities. Our students, staff and families are so incredibly generous.

May the Lord bless you, and provide you with an abundance of faith, love and hope throughout the Christmas season. A sincere thanks for your continued support and partnership as we work together to respond to the tremendous growth experienced throughout the London District Catholic School Board again this school year.

We wish you and yours a healthy, happy, and Holy Christmas and many blessings in the New Year.

Sincerely,

Linda Steel, Chair of the Board of Trustees
