About Our School

St. Mark’s was the first Catholic school to be built in the north end of London – between Highbury Avenue and Adelaide Street. The school originally opened in 1960 as St. Nicholas School on Fanshawe Park Road. Rapid growth and traffic safety concerns allowed for building a new school in the subdivision south of Fanshawe Park Road.

A three room addition was added July 2008 as part of the primary class size reduction government grant. Today the school boundaries reach from Sunningdale South to the North, Highbury Ave to the East, Kilarney Road to the South, and Adelaide Road to the West. St. Mark’s has a population of 367 students (JK – Grade 8). St. Mark celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2015.
